Greetings!

I do hope everyone had a great 4^th holiday! Mine was spent celebrating with friends as well as finally finishing the unpacking of our renovated office. It’s nice to be organized again. Yes, the renovation was completed months ago but we had some issues that I was waiting to have resolved. So, the unpacking/organizing had to wait.

And now that it’s done, I’m actually amazed how happy it has made me feel. I generally am a very organized person (yes, I do actually alphabetize my spices) and hadn’t realized that my office had been in chaos for way too long. It really was impacting my psyche. Now that it’s an organized space again I realize that my mind is clearer too and I am finding myself even more productive as a result.

What about you? Is the space on your desk or your mind cluttered? I know, you’ve probably heard as I have that we need to make that list to get it out of our brains so we can move on. Or clear our desk so we don’t get distracted by the clutter. And in many ways I’ve now realized that is very true for me.

I don’t know about you, but July is a slower month for us. So many people are taking their vacations or covering for people that are taking time off that many programs don’t move as quickly as they do the rest of the year.

So, maybe it’s the same for you. If it is, maybe you can take a little time to get more organized and clear your mind for the fall busy season. Start with your own space (even though I started with our conference room, once it was pretty it made my office look even worse!) and move on from there.

And at the same time, don’t forget to think about your fall promotions. Get what you need ordered now so you can concentrate on your sales in the fall without distraction!
