Owner and President of Gossett Marketing, a leading promotional marketing firm, Danette Gossett, tells readers it’s time to shoot for expertise in onboarding new hires remotely after a year and a half of practice, since it seems this is the way of the future.
MIAMI, FL– August 06, 2021 – Danette Gossett, Founder of Gossett Marketing Communications, Inc., Co-Founder of Promotions Resource, LLC, and co-author of the best-selling book, Transform, recently posted a new article on her website entitled, “Welcome To The 21st Century Pandemic Version Of The Welcome Wagon,” in which Ms. Gossett brings her unique perspective to the new employee welcome gift.
Gossett writes, “Most people today will probably not know what the Welcome Wagon was (is – yes, it still exists). For most,” she continues, “it’s merely an expression. But it was a real business started back in 1928 in Tennessee to welcome new homeowners to the neighborhood. The idea of the business is maintained even today in the expression to “roll out the welcome wagon.” It refers to a happy and friendly way of greeting people who are new to a place.” As Gossett admits, “I was inspired to research the Welcome Wagon as I continue to think about new ways to help my clients onboard new hires in ways that make them feel welcome and part of the team.”
