Owner and President of Gossett Marketing, a leading promotional marketing firm, Danette Gossett, writes about how COVID-19 has forced business owners to shift their thinking about long-term planning and offers a method that she has found to be very helpful.
MIAMI, FL– December 21, 2019 – Danette Gossett, Founder of Gossett Marketing Communications, Inc., Co-Founder of Promotions Resource, LLC, and co-author of the best-selling book, Transform, recently posted a new article on her website entitled, “2020 Taught Me To Plan My Business Events The Way I’d Eat An Elephant,” in which Ms. Gossett freely shares the planning method that works for her.
Gossett writes, “We are getting ready to close out one of the most unusual years in our living history.” She continues, “Businesses took a huge hit simply because no one saw COVID-19 coming. Well, someone did,” she adds further commenting, “but much like the economic collapse of 2007 – 2009, just a few people were aware of what was about to happen.” She goes on, “At any rate, one of the big lessons I, and so many other business owners have learned is that long-term planning – and I’m talking about 1- 10 years – has really become a waste of time. COVID-19 has turned our focus to the importance of setting much shorter-term goals.”
