Owner and President of Gossett Marketing, a leading promotional marketing firm, Danette Gossett, talks about a cause close to her heart and invites readers to get on board with ending plastic pollution in honor of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

MIAMI, FL– March 26, 2020 – Danette Gossett, Founder of Gossett Marketing Communications, Inc., Co-Founder of Promotions Resource, LLC, and co-author of the best-selling book, Transform, recently posted a new article on her website entitled, “Become A Permanent Part Of The Solution For Earth Day’s 50th Anniversary.” Ms. Gossett tells readers that her status as a Florida resident is integral in her decision to help end plastic pollution.

Gossett writes, “Climate Action is the theme for this year’s 50th Anniversary Earth Day.” She adds, “There’s still plenty of time to take action and order recycled and sustainable promotional items to show your clients, employees and prospects that you care about the fate of Mother Earth.”

“From the destruction of our oceans’ coral reefs to ocean dead zones caused in large part by runoff from factory farming,” says Gossett, “our planet is under great duress.” She continues, “The interrelated problems seem overwhelming. But if each individual and corporation picks just one single area of focus, we can all be part of the solution instead of the problem. At least that’s how I see it.”

According to Gossett, her agency has “decided to be part of The End Plastic Pollution campaign.” She elaborates, “I enjoy helping clients do away with single use plastic items in favor of long-lasting items that can be re-used and that will break down easily when their useful lifespan is complete.”

Gossett points out, “According to the Earth Day Network, plastic in our environment is harming marine and human health, littering beaches and landscapes, clogging waste streams and landfills.” She also highlights, “The Ocean Conservancy reports that, “Plastic has been found in more than 60% of all seabirds and in 100% of sea turtles species, that mistake plastic for food. Every year, 8 million metric tons of plastics enter our ocean on top of the estimated 150 million metric tons that currently circulate our marine environments.” “As a Florida resident,” says Gossett, “this cause is close to my heart. I have seen the damaging results on our beaches and waterways.”
